Nolan is a puppet, so his life has no meaning without his puppeteers. But when they make him live, he wonders: “Where is my will? Are my emotions real? How could I breathe on my own?”. The mechanics of the soul. Eh man hé is a performance of physical theatre, dance, mime, and puppet animation that presents the complexity of the small. It shows that breathing is not just about taking air in and that the soul of puppets is not much different from that of people.

This is a story of a man and his five spirits – physical actors and owners who share life in a body.
In this succession of metaphors that reflect on what makes us live, our protagonist is Nolan. Ignoring that he is a doll, he is asking: “What is it that moves me?”.
Inert matter acquires awareness of its condition and rebels, seeks answers, and finds more and more questions. No one said it would be easy. There are dreams, hopes, and yes, also your doubts and my fears. But through imagination and the spirited steps of the soul, we move.
This is a generous work of creativity from this multi-award winning company that mixtures puppetry, dancing, mime, and visual theatre.
