Minutes from the meeting of the Main Jury of May 25, 2022.
XXIX International Festival of Puppetry Art in Bielsko-Biała

The jury composed of:

- Lucyna Kozień (chairman) - theater critic, editor-in-chief for the "Teatr Lalek" magazine, Vice-president of POLUNIMA (Polish Centre of UNIMA)  - Poland

- Bożena Sawicka - theater scientist, expert in theatrology - Poland

- Konrad Dworakowski - theatre director and educator - Poland

After watching 7 competition performances:

TRAVERSÉES - THÉÀTRE DE L'ENTROUVERT (FRANCE)
CHAIKA - COMPAGNIE BELOVA -IACOBELLI (BELGIUM)
ROMANCE - NATALIA SAKOWICZ (POLAND)
WHITE FANG - DIVADLO DRAK (CZECH REPUBLIC)
THE HOUSE - SOFIE KROG TEATER (DENMARK)
BIG DEAL - OPOLE PUPPET AND ACTOR THEATRE (POLAND)
THE MECHANICS OF THE SOUL - ZERO EN CONDUCTA COMPANY (SPAIN)

The jury decided to award:

- Special Award for ZERO EN CONDUCTA COMPANY (Spain) for the ability to blur the boundaries between an actor and an animant in the production of Mechanics of the Soul.

- Main Award GRAND PRIX OF THE FESTIVAL and a statuette by Bronisław Krzysztof for COMPAGNIE BELOVA-IACOBELLI (Belgium) for the performance Chaika.

The jury would like to emphasize the high artistic level of all the performances presented in the competition stream of the XXIX International Festival of Puppetry Art in Bielsko-Biała.
